The declutter king!
As you all know, I help people who desperately need their homes to be decluttered.
I do what I do in filthy houses sos but without the cameras. I would come to you and spend two days at your home working alongside you to help you declutter your home and get it to a position you can maintain it.
I will also give you some techniques to prevent it from happening again.
This week I spent time with Suzanne, who hired me to come and help her. I loved getting to know her and ultimately turning her home and life around.
This is what Suzanne said about the experience.
Recently Richard Pearson spent 2 days at my home. I had requested his help because the clutter in mu house was out of hand and I was completely overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. Within a very short time I knew I had done the right thing.
I found Richard to be very hard-working, barely stopping to eat or drink. He was completely focused on the task in hand, stopping only to ask me relevant questions, to point out where I needed to make changes and to check that I was coping with the process and telling me to stop when he saw that I was becoming too tired to continue.
Until Richard and I looked together at the work needed I hadn’t realised the extent of the problem. It turned out to be a much bigger undertaking than I had anticipated. The size of the job was such that it could not be completed in the time allocated and I have had no hesitation in booking a return visit – and thankfully Richard has agreed!
It seems to me that Richard is a person of integrity. He is honest, perceptive and sensitive and extremely conscientious. One of his many skills is discernment of how a person is feeling even when there are no obvious signs. He is kind, considerate, serious when necessary, funny – able to turn an apparently grim situation into a joke. He is a gentleman, his words in my experience never gave cause for offence. He was an easy person to have around – I felt very relaxed with him in my home: pleasant, easy to get on with, kind and considerate, supportive yet firm.
He gave good advice about how to proceed in the future and I was able to see how inappropriate thinking had led to at least some of my unhelpful behaviour in dealing with the ‘stuff’ in my house. He also took time to ask about and listen to the reasons why I had got myself into such a mess (my words, not his) and to suggest ways forward. I have found that at least some of my thinking changed almost immediately.
I am very grateful to Richard for coming to my home and for using his very evident practical and personal skills to enable me to make changes in my life. I recommend him wholeheartedly.
